Working out is about burning calories, calories in vs. calories out. If you are taking in more calories than you burn then you will gain weight. If you burn more calories than your daily caloric expenditure then you will lose weight. It’s really that simple, but we make it hard. So the smartest thing to do when you weight train and your goal is weight loss is to do a total body workout so you burn more calories overall.
